Banff Centre for the Arts residency

For over 70 years, The Banff Centre has provided professional career development and lifelong learning for artists and cultural leaders in performing, literary, new media, and visual arts.

In 2004 I was awarded the Australia Council New Media Arts Board Banff Residency. I joined 30 Canadian and international artists for the thematic residency 'IntraNation'. The residency looked to explore notions of nationhood and the nation state. The work I developed is titled 'My Fellow Australians'. It is a net art work exploring xenophobia and Australian identity.

'My Fellow Australians' was selected for the dART05 exhibition at the Sydney Opera House, and included in the 2005 Mardi Gras Visual Arts program.
