Electrofringe 08
NEOCONFESSIONAL is a participatory installation and web site. The work was devised for an artist residency at the 2008 Electrofringe electronic art festival in Newcastle, Australia. The work takes a peak at conservatism and the widespread cultural practice of resisting change.
Deakin Innovation Lectures
The 2008 Deakin Lectures, curated by Robyn Archer, focussed on innovation and its importance to all aspects of our economy and society.
I spoke on the panels ‘Innovation: A global View' and 'Voice of the Future'.
Light In Winter Festival
The Gift of Light was a series of light based installations responding to the significance of light in various cultures. It formed part of Melbourne's winter solstice festival at Federation Square, The Light in Winter.

Electrofringe 07
My net art work 'Status 2.0' was selected for the 2007 Electrofringe online exhibition. The work is a comment on 'broadcast yourself' culture and the fervour with which people are embracing self-publishing online.
Queen Victoria Women's Centre
I presented a large-scale outdoor projection of archival photographs for the 110th anniversary of the Queen Victoria Women's Centre. The centre is housed in the last remaing building of Australia's first women's hospital.
Banff Centre for the Arts residency
In 2004 I was awarded the Australia Council New Media Arts Board Banff Residency. I joined 30 Canadian and international artists for the thematic residency 'IntraNation'. The residency looked to explore notions of nationhood and the nation state. The work I developed is titled 'My Fellow Australians'. It is a net art work exploring xenophobia and Australian identity.
Melbourne Aquarium
Myself and sound designer Ryan Griffith were the 2003 'Artists in Residence' at the Melbourne Aquarium. We were on site for 3 months delivering workshops for primary and secondary students as well as developing our own work.
Retrospectacular
This web animation 'Retrospectacular' explores 'nostalgia dependency' – moving through life while clinging onto a romanticised past. Symptoms include outdated values such as moral superiority and intolerance, and resistance to new ideas and social change.
