Pip Shea

 

Pip is a media artist, designer, producer, researcher and educator. Her practice focuses on participatory projects that explore the impact of sharing within networks.

She is currently a PhD candidate researching community wifi networks and emergent creativity.

She has participated in artist residencies at the Banff Centre for the Arts (Canada), Electrofringe Festival (Newcastle), and the Next Wave Festival (Melbourne); and has been a participating artist at the 2009 International Symposium of Electronic Art (Belfast), the Light In Winter Festival (Melbourne), the Melbourne Festival, 2009 Creative Sydney Festival and was a speaker at the 2008 Alfred Deakin Innovation Lectures.

Pip has also worked extensively across visual and interaction design projects for various clients including the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and EMI Records.
